This piece was painted for my beautiful sis. It shows us on our journey learning culture together and united as women. The title is related to Ngiyambaa kinship and our relationship to one another. Symbols within the artwork depict things relating to women and our stories. Our Ganais (digging sticks) are placed next to us, which shows us making these together. The small circles depict the shapes on the angophora trees. Lastly the Emu footprints are shown travelling which represents us following and learning stories together. The lines connect us together as a pair (Mama-Galaydjan) and also connect us to Mother Earth as one.
